During 2024, we are retrofitting our emergency communication trailer. This is a team effort with as many hands on deck as possible. We are lucky to have people from SECAST and NBAT working together to get this job done.
The mobile Emergency Operations Center (EOC) supports the Snoqualmie Emergency Communication and Support Team (SECAST) by providing a command structure for mobile incident operations support. This enables SECAST to protect property and lives and serve the people of Snoqualmie by making emergency operations as efficient and effective as possible. The mobile EOC enhances the capabilities of SECAST and its volunteers by providing timely and quality mobile support services to the building-based command structure of the Snoqualmie emergency operations center.
Today, we installed a new dual-band antenna at Jeanne Hansen Park in Snoqualmie Ridge. At 1,089 feet elevation, this new antenna will provide great coverage for the city of Snoqualmie.
The installation went very smoothly thanks to the efforts of Doug (KC0SDQ), Greg (KK7ISM), and Marc (KK7LMP). We are so grateful to Doug for spearheading negotiations with the city to allow us to put up the antenna, use the barn, and borrow their lift equipment. This antenna truly would not have been possible without the city's support.
We look forward to this new antenna serving the Snoqualmie community for years to come. Our sincere thanks again to Doug and the city representatives who helped make this happen today!
